Availability: Selected Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from February to November. At least two dates per month. Dates fill very quickly, so please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. ice or heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Any unused laps will be credited for another visit. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for an hour and a half, including your briefing and approximately ten minutes driving time. Please arrive a few minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be shared. During your familiarisation laps in the Mazda there will be up to three people in the car. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Children must be closely supervised at all times and dogs are not permitted at any circuits. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special clothing you need will be provided. You can bring your own helmet if you prefer (it will be safety checked before driving). Guidelines: Thruxton circuit is adjacent to and well signposted from the A303 between the M3 and M4, approximately one and a half hours from London. Proceed through the main entrance, up the drive and through the tunnel. The tunnel entrance is slightly off to the left at the top of the rise. Turn immediately left into the paddock car park and at the far end you will see the media centre building where you will need to sign in. Restrictions: Maximum height is 6'3''. Max weight is 18 stone. You'll be asked to sign a disclaimer confirming you hold a full British or international manual driving licence, that you are in good health and do not suffer any disability that could impair your driving. Other Info: Thruxton is one of the fastest circuits in the UK and a popular course in the British Touring Car championships. You will drive the complete 2.4 mile circuit. |
